Notice of Annual General Meeting
Brisbane Social Chess Inc IA4682418 ABN 20129327738Dear Financial Members,Pursuant to rule 26 the first annual general meeting of the club must be held within 3 months after the end date of the financial year.Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Brisbane Social Chess Inc. will be held as follows:Date: 31/08/2025 (a Sunday)
Time: 11 am
Location: Gardens Cafe Roma St Parklands
Agenda:
Welcome, apologies, and President's and Committee report
Receiving and adopting the club's financial statement and report for the last reportable financial year
Election of the management committeeImportant Notes:
Only Financial Members (those who have paid an annual fee which has not lapsed) are eligible to vote at this meeting. You can become a financial member prior to the AGM at the member portal here - https://app.joinit.com/o/brisbane-social-chess.
Votes may not be cast by proxy.
Members may participate in the meeting using any technology approved by the management committee that allows them to take part.
The quorum for this meeting is 7 Financial Members or all Financial Members of the club, whichever is lesser.
If no quorum is achieved, the meeting will be adjourned to the same time next week, and those Financial Members who participate will constitute the quorum.
Each question, matter, or resolution, other than a special resolution, must be decided by a majority of votes of Financial Members.
The method of voting will be decided by the management committee.
